RSA Database Committee Meeting

Cataloging staff who work at Resource Sharing Alliance (RSA) member libraries are invited to attend a Database Committee meeting on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm.

This meeting was originally planned for January 14, 2021, but RSA has postponed it due to a scheduling conflict.

Due to restrictions on in-person events in light of COVID-19, this meeting will only be hosted online in Zoom.

Here is the schedule for the February 4th Database meeting:

9:30 – 10:30 am

• Cataloging Update from RSA, Cataloging Maintenance Center, and RAILS.
• Election of new Database Committee Chair or Co-chairs, serving until January 2022. Please get in touch with Erica (erica.laughlin@railslibraries.info) if you are interested in this important position.

10:30 – 10:40 am
Break

10:40 am – 12:00 pm

• Member networking discussion facilitated by Heidi Rhea of Alpha Park Public Library District. This will be open-ended time for members to network, sharing their thoughts, ideas, questions, and concerns about technical services-related topics, whether or not they are related to RSA or WorkFlows.
• Please share your networking questions or topics with Heidi (heidi@alphapark.org) by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Then the questions and topics will be included on the Database meeting agenda, allowing you to begin thinking about them before the meeting and considering if you want to participate in the discussion.
• If the networking discussion does not last until 12:00, the meeting will end early.
