This workshop offers an overview of the basic structure of the Dewey Decimal Classification System. Through lecture and exercises, participants will learn how classification numbers are constructed, will practice building numbers, and will be shown an overview of WebDewey. Participants are encouraged to bring a copy of Dewey Decimal Classification, 23rd edition or the Abridged DDC (Edition 15), if available.
