Program Description
Over the last year libraries adapted their services to safeguard their staff and users while trying to meet their communities needs. As we plan for life after COVID-19, staff require strong change management skills to guide their library through the next phases of organizational change.
60 Minute Session | Session will be recorded and available by October 1, 2021.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this presentation, participants will
- Understand the impact organization change has on an organization.
- Learn tools and techniques for coping with change.
- Identify what role they can play in the change process.
Michelle Frisque is a technology leader known for visionary thinking, innovation, design thinking and executing transformative organizational change with a human touch. She is nationally respected in academic and public libraries. She speaks and teaches internationally on public library issues. She is currently the founder and lead consultant of Michelle Frisque Consulting Group, LLC.
Michelle previously served as the Chief of Technology, Content and Innovation at Chicago Public Library, Head of Information Systems at the Galter Health Sciences Library and Web Manager/Reference Librarian at Wright State University. Michelle is a past President of the Library & Information Technology Association (LITA), a former division of the American Library Association. Michelle has a masters of learning and organization change from Northwestern University’s School of Education and Social Policy and a masters of library and information sciences from the University of Pittsburgh.
