According to Wikipedia, Discord is a VoIP, instant messaging and digital distribution platform. Users communicate with voice calls, video calls, text messaging, media and files in private chats or as part of communities called "servers". So... what does that mean for libraries?
Join members of the LACONI Tech Services group for presentations and a brainstorming discussion of ways that you might use Discord at your library! KatieRose McEneely (Rosalind Franklin University) will present on what Discord is and how to set up a server and Shaira Rock (Elmhurst Public Library) will present on how she has successfully used Discord at her library for YA programming. We will end with a casual group brainstorming session of ways that Discord could be used at your library!
