These meetings are where you can hear the latest IHLS system news, updates from the state library, and from a guest speaker on important or arising topics facing the library community. IHLS Members Matter events are also opportunities for you to tell IHLS staff and leadership your thoughts, needs, and how IHLS can better help provide you with the tools you need to make your library successful. IHLS Members Matter is part of the Third Thursday CE series.
Part I: Special Presentation on Serving Students through Partnerships and Intergovernmental Agreements________
Jill Schardt, Director of the Edwardsville Public Library, will discuss how partnering with a school district and other public libraries led to the creation of an Intergovernmental Agreement to serve unserved youth.
Part II: System Updates
Updates from Illinois Heartland Library System, SHARE, and the Illinois State Library. If there's time, we'll also open the floor for round-robin updates from libraries and an opportunity to let IHLS and ISL staff hear your library's wins, what obstacles your library is facing, and what you need from us.
