The Palatine Library has a comprehensive Person in Charge (PIC) training program. PICs are responsible for the safety and security of the library during their shift. They receive training on a variety of topics, including emergency procedures, first aid and CPR, fire safety, shelter-in-place procedures, hazardous materials, and disaster planning.
PICs also participate in regular drills to practice their skills. During this webinar, you'll learn about the program and how it helps to ensure the safety of library staff, patrons, and visitors.
