Join us online or in person each third Thursday of the month from 10-11 a.m. to hear from a guest speaker about an important or arising topic facing the library community.
All Third Thursday CE sessions will be streamed live, but participants who are also attending the IHLS Members Matter meeting are encouraged to attend both events in person at a rotating location.

Description: Social media for a library is no longer a novelty; it’s part of how most modern-day libraries operate. However, social media as a platform has matured. It’s not the same as it was ten, five, or even one year ago! And it’s not just user demographics that have changed … how and why people use it (or perhaps don’t) have also evolved, and perhaps in some unexpected ways. In an environment that seems to be changing every moment, join social media author Laura Solomon for an in-depth look at what’s happening now with social media and the challenges libraries may have going forward.

All IHLS Members Matter meetings will be hybrid. However, in-person attendance at our rotating location is encouraged so you can get the most out of these monthly networking opportunities.

Cost: There is no cost for this membership meeting or CE event.
Advance registration is required and is imperative for in-person participants. Registering for one event automatically registers you for both events. Attend one or both, in person or online!
