We will meet in the large meeting room– just inside the main entrance. This is an in-person ONLY meeting. Please submit a request to become a LELA member if you are interested in attending, or email tnorstrom@cooklib.org if you have additional questions about LELA.
Library Early Learning Advocates (LELA) is a public library networking group comprised of early learning, early childhood, and early literacy library professionals who support each other's efforts as they inquire, evaluate, and create opportunities to raise awareness about the critical period of brain development that occurs during a child's first five years of life. This group explores and shares ways to support early childhood caregivers and families with children ages birth-five, through library programs, resources, services, and community engagement, utilizing developmentally appropriate practices that promote equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Members have access to the LELA running agenda where we register if we plan on attending and list topics for discussion.
