This 90-minute webinar will include three presentations, as well as the opportunity to have your questions answered.
Emily Wieshuber and Mark Daniel, Technology Instructors at Naperville Public Library, give us the basics: what AI is and isn’t, common uses, and available tools. Jessica Rodrigues, Director of Steger-South Chicago Heights Public Library, discusses the rise of AI-generated disinformation and how library staff and patrons can become smarter consumers of digital information. Finally, Sarah Lamdan, Deputy Director of ALA’s Office for Intellectual Freedom, covers copyright issues as they pertain to AI training models.
This program will be recorded and made available on the LACONI YouTube page.
