About This Event

This the quarterly meeting for the Collection Development Networking group through RAILS. This will be a virtual meeting through Zoom.

We’re thrilled to have 2 special guest speakers for this meeting, Rebecca Vnuk and Susan Maguire. Rebecca Vnuk is the Executive Director of Library Reads. Susan Maguire is the Senior Editor, Collection Management and Library Outreach at Booklist. They will both speak on book news, trends, and collection development and take questions afterward. 

This will be a virtual meeting and a Zoom link will be sent out to all registrants the day before the meeting. Registration closes at 10 am on February 6th.

Susan Maguire, Senior Editor, Collection Management and Library Outreach, worked for a decade in public libraries before joining Booklist, with experience in reference, readers' services, collection management, and circulation. She loves reading and talking about reading and talking to librarians about talking about reading. Susan is a sucker for a love story and any book in which the dog does not die in the end. Under the very clever pseudonym Sarah Title, she has published almost a dozen romance novels. She has a BA in English, an MLS, and an elderly chihuahua named Dave.
