Help Stop Hate: Supporting Individuals and Communities
About This Event
Librarians play a special role in supporting people affected by hate, including both victims and people at risk of becoming perpetrators of hate, extremism, and targeted violence.
This session will describe the state of hate in Illinois; share about Help Stop Hate, a new helpline and telephone service that provides confidential support for people and communities affected by hate; and consider some ways that empowered professionals can intervene for good.
