Join us for the second of two webinars about Supporting Emergent Readers: Material Evaluation and Literacy Solutions hosted by Teach My Kid to Read.

This webinar will explore practical approaches libraries can take to support emergent readers as they develop essential reading skills. Participants will learn about how children and caregivers use decodable texts to practice phonics, as well as how libraries can guide families in using these materials effectively. The session will also highlight curated resources caregivers, educators, tutors, and homeschool families who are supporting children learning to read. Attendees will leave with ideas for library programming that supports both word reading and oral language comprehension.

This webinar series was made possible through a RAILS CE Event Grant. 

This is a hybrid event.

Please join us in-person at Skokie Public Library to watch the webinar from 1:00-2:30. Following the webinar, we will have a 30-minute discussion. Please RSVP by emailing mpapanastassiou@skokielibrary.info by June 16 to attend in-person.
