Bonfire is a monthly online office hour for library catalogers, offered as a supplementary resource of iCAMP. Each third Wednesday of the month, 11:30am-12:30pm, Bonfire will host an expert cataloger who will offer insight and advice on a topic related to their specialties. Past, current, and future participation in iCAMP is not required for attendees.
After the guest cataloger's introductions, attendees will be invited to ask questions related to cataloging. Questions do not need to stay on the suggested topic, but attendees should understand that not every cataloger is an expert on every scope of cataloging. Bonfires will not be recorded and AI notetakers will not be utilized. For any questions or concerns regarding accessibility please email Jace Cook, SHARE Cataloger, at jcook@illinoisheartland.org.
From novice to expert, Bonfire aims to build community within our field through the asking and answering of cataloging questions and discussions on relevant topics.
