Join Leah Gregory, IHLS Director of Membership & Outreach, for a monthly virtual session consisting of a 30-minute continuing education session, followed by a 30-minute networking and system update session, where we discuss all things related to school libraries. Learn something new, connect with your colleagues, share ideas, seek answers, or just talk to peers who understand what a day in the life of a school librarian is like.
Our topic for this session will be The Blueberry Awards. Join Martha Meyer from Evanston Public Library and learn more about the Blueberry Awards, a national children’s eco-literature award for the best nature and climate books for kids 3 - 10+. The Blueberry Awards' mission is to change children’s publishing to support kids to become nature enthusiasts and climate activists while carefully avoiding and mitigating kids’ climate anxiety.
Available to: All library staff from Illinois libraries, from library aides to certified school librarians
Session Capacity: 100 seats
Cost: Free
Deadline: Registration requested by 15 minutes prior to the start of the event. Forgot to register? Join us anyway.
