Case-Halstead Public Library
About Us
We were established in 1938 when Eckstein Case donated the old Zophar Case and Mary Halstead Case home to the city of Carlyle for the creation of a public library. That building served as the library through 2013 when a new library was built. Since 2014 the new 10,880 sq. ft. Case-Halstead Library has served the city of Carlyle and the greater Clinton County area as a research and literacy hub. We are proud of all of our programming but our Grandma Mimi Story Time, named in honor of longtime library board member and Clinton County educator Marianne Vonnahme and supported by Mark and Marilyn Vonnahme, is of particular note. Indeed the Grandma Mimi collection of beautiful Bound to Stay Bound books is a centerpiece of all we do here and we are honored to house it here at Case-Halstead. Come on in today!
