RAILS is helping re-launch the Chicago Area Solo Librarians networking group. This group, originally created in 2001, helped connect solo librarians from around the RAILS region. Althought the group hasn't met for a few years, we're looking to re-establish regular meetings via Zoom.
The primary purpose of this group is to encourage support, ideas, peer-to-peer learning, advocacy, and networking among solo library workers in the RAILS region. This group is open to anyone who identifies as a solo professional library worker. No other credentials are needed.
The first meeting will be Friday, June 24, 12:00-1:00pm Central. Please use L2 to register. If you're interested in a leadership role in this group, please contact Dan Bostrom, dan.bostrom@railslibraries.info.
